Getting back on track in Photography with a Project52

I’ve spent an awful lot of time the last 11 months helping an elderly friend who has been in and out of the hospital. It didn’t leave me much time for my photography. I made as close to a New Years Resolution as I’ll ever get this year, and that was to make a point of picking up my camera more. First, I started by finding a new Project 52 group. I found the Everyday Eyecandy Project 52 on Facebook.

It’s never too late to start your own Project 52. Project52 just means you make an effort to capture 1 good photo a week. That’s not that hard, right? I must confess though, I’ve never made it past about Week 43. Maybe this time it will be different. I like the projects that give you a subject every week because it forces you out of your comfort zone, and makes you try new things. You don’t need a list of subjects though. If you want to take 52 photos of your dog, go ahead. The important thing is to get out there and just do it.

Follow my Progress

I’ve finished 6 weeks so far, and am still going strong. Feels good to back “back in the saddle” again, especially getting to know the new camera I’d bought right before life got in the way. You can follow my progress at: https://www.instagram.com/ls_palmer/
